7th Annual Female Friday Funday Float
Friday, July 10th, 2020
Kim Williams, event creator and organizer shared this information for the successful 2017 event with over 300 participants!…
“Here it is ladies!!! If you’ve never attended, then make plans to join us this year. This all girls float trip is a blast and I promise you will want to make this an annual event for you and your girlfriends and relatives! This is a charity event to raise money for prostate cancer research and a cure. Again this year we will be raising money for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Chicago.”
Your T-shirt is your entry fee
Go to JC Screenprinting and order your womens style Green shirt. The shirt is your entry fee so YOU MUST BUY ONE to join. The fee for the shirt is $25 plus shipping. All proceeds go to our charity. You can put your team name or whatever you want on the back on that site. There will be an extra charge for long team names. Info is on the site. This years theme is The Luck of the Irish in honor of our 7th year! Make your team name or your name from something to do with the Irish…a song, an Irish name, a phrase…. decorate your boat….have fun with it! If you decide to go at the last minute and haven’t ordered a shirt, you can still go but you will have to pay the $25 when you get to the Legion and we may or may not have extra shirts for you. Like last year, we are asking that everyone collects at least $50 in DONATIONS to be turned in the day of the float. In going along with our Lucky #7 theme, this year we will be giving away a KAYAK! In order to get put in the drawing you must bring $100 or more in donations per person (not group). A little incentive to collect more donations! We also will be giving away prizes by a drawing for everyone that brings their $50 in donations. How exciting is that!? We are making koozies for you to sell again this year to help you raise money. On the T-shirt link, you can buy them and sell them for whatever amount you want to help you get your $50+ donation.
We really want to raise the level of donations this year so we are asking that everyone collects at least $50 to be turned in the day of the float. We are making koozies for you to sell this year to help you raise money..YEAH! On the T-shirt link, you can buy a pack of 10 or 20 and sell them for whatever amount you want to help you get your $50+ donation. So you can buy 20 koozies, sell them for $5 and take your $16 back that you pay for them and still have $84 to donate! Lets do this!!!
When, where, how
We will meet at the Deer Creek Legion at 10:00 and be on the river by noon. I suggest that NO ONE FLOATS ON AN INFLATABLE RAFT OR TUBE. They all either popped or had to be pulled behind a canoe the first year. They also float alot slower and there is no way to paddle or control where you are going. So please don’t ask.
