5th Annual Female Friday Funday Float July 20, 2018
Watch for updates for this year’s event July 20, 2018!
Kim Williams, event creator and organizer shared this information for the successful 2017 event with over 300 participants!…
Here it is ladies!!! If you missed it last year then make plans to join us this year. This all girls float trip in the Peoria area is a blast! This is a charity event to raise money for prostate cancer research and again this year we will be raising money for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Chicago.
Your T-shirt is your entry fee
We are doing the T-shirt sales different this year. Link to JC Screenprinting and order your womens style shirt there. The shirt is your entry fee so YOU MUST BUY ONE to join. You can put your team name or whatever you want on the back on that site. This years theme encourages the guys to get their prostate checked…its “BOTTOMS UP FOR THE BOYS”. Another change is that you can have it shipped to you, pick it up in Goodfield at JC Screenprinting or just pick it up the day of the float at the Legion. I won’t be handing out the shirts this year. If you decide to go at the last minute and haven’t ordered a shirt, you can still go but you will have to pay the $20 and we may or may not have extra shirts for you. There are also mens T-shirts available on the site if any men want one.
We really want to raise the level of donations this year so we are asking that everyone collects at least $50 to be turned in the day of the float. We are making koozies for you to sell this year to help you raise money..YEAH! On the T-shirt link, you can buy a pack of 10 or 20 and sell them for whatever amount you want to help you get your $50+ donation. So you can buy 20 koozies, sell them for $5 and take your $16 back that you pay for them and still have $84 to donate! Lets do this!!!
When, where, how
We will meet at the Deer Creek Legion at 10:00 and be on the river by noon. I suggest that NO ONE FLOATS ON AN INFLATABLE RAFT OR TUBE. They all either popped or had to be pulled behind a canoe the first year. They also float alot slower and there is no way to paddle or control where you are going.
