2019 Wine Tasting fundraiser benefited Prostate Cancer Foundation of Chicago!

Ditka’s Grill 89 uncorked Delicato Family Wines, a portfolio of premium wines from a selection of the most desirable vineyards from notable California wine-growing regions.  Attendees also enjoyed a wide assortment of well-paired hors d’oeuvres, along with the camaraderie of fellow supporters of Prostate Cancer Foundation of Chicago.   The event included a silent auction—featuring a signed football by NFL hall of famer Mike Ditka!

Run & Walk for Prostate Cancer Awareness

The Eighth Annual Run and Walk for Prostate Cancer Awareness was held on Sunday, September 10th, 2018, at Chicago Prostate Cancer Center, 815 Pasquinelli Drive in Westmont.

We are grateful to all the participants, sponsors, family supporters, volunteers, our special Master of Ceremonies NBC5 news anchor Dick Johnson,  National Anthem tenor Craig Milkint, along with Blue Sky Blind band, and many others who made this event a successful fundraiser and celebration of life!

The event was hosted by the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Chicago and Chicago Prostate Cancer Center.

Ditka’s Grill 89 uncorked “stylish, delicious Sonoma wines” created by Ferrari-Carano vineyards, and served a wide assortment of well-paired hors d’oeuvres.   The event also included a silent auction—featuring a signed football by NFL hall of famer Mike Ditka—a 50/50 raffle and a chance to win a tasting for six at Lynfred Winery.

You might enjoy a meal before arriving for PCFC’s next Informational Support Group meeting at 7 pm, also on Wednesday, April 4.  Guest speaker that night will be Jonny Imerman, founder of Imerman Angels, an international non-profit which connects cancer fighters, survivors and caregivers.

Hank Bauer Memorial Fund

The Hank Bauer Memorial Fund was established to keep Harold J. Bauer’s spirit alive while raising money for prostate cancer research and the Cary community.

Prostate Cancer Foundation of Chicago is grateful to the Bauer family, friends and vendors who supported our mission through the Hank Bauer Memorial Golf Outing from 2013 to 2017.  Successful golf events were held at the Cary Country Club, with a 9-hole scramble,  prizes for closest-to-the-pin and longest drive, after-golf banquet, live music and silent auction.

PCL BlueZone: Goro Family Fundraiser

The Goro family continues its successful fundraising through its organization called PCL BlueZone, which has worked with Prostate Cancer Foundation of Chicago in the fight against prostate cancer. Every year the Goro Family honors Chuck Goro with a special event to celebrate Mr. Goro’s life.  Past fundraisers have included, among others, a golf event, a flag football game event and a fierce end-of-season softball tournament!

Prostate Cancer Foundation of Chicago and ChicagoProstateCancerCenter appreciates the Goro family and friends for all of their dedication and efforts to conquer prostate cancer.   The support of  donors like PCL BlueZone, continues to advance the education, patient support and clinical research programs of Prostate Cancer Foundation of Chicago.
